Simmering black-eyed peas, slow cooked ham, hot cornbread in an old iron skillet. Memories of home. The vision of a crisp white linen tablecloth, old family silver and glistening crystal goblets all come tumbling back. Devouring my mother's subscription to House Beautiful the moment I tore off the brown paper wrapping. Secretly re-arranging the living room furniture while my family was sleeping and lingering in a fabric store with my grandmother to touch and smell bolts and bolts of heavy pima cotton.
There comes a moment when we are at last ready to do what we have always wanted to do. The creation of flights of fancy was the natural fulfillment of my life-long passion for interior decoration and space design.
Over the years, I studied Period Furniture at the New School in New York, Art History at the École du Louvre in Paris and received a degree in Interior Decoration and Space Design from MMI Déco in Paris, with an internship at the prestigious Molyneux Studio. Having been named a Preferred Services Provider at the American Embassy in Paris, I am also a member of the Executive Committee of the American Club of Paris. As a sixth generation Texan, I have resided in Paris for over 30 years and hold dual American and French citizenship.
